Red clay makes this 4-inch square bowl unusual among all my finds. Deep jewel-tone colors highlight all four sides of the bowl, and the initials M.S. are etched in the bottom. This piece was also made using the slab method of construction, with a delightful scalloped rim. Lots of fingerprints and tool marks are visible in this piece, which stands about 3 inches high.
